The instruments are provided. You don’t need to arrive with your own bowls or prior sound-healing experience — the training begins with the foundations and builds progressively through hands-on repetition.

FAQ
Questions worth asking before you choose
What do you learn in a Sound Healing course in Goa?
The Sound Healing training covers the foundations of sound and vibration, Himalayan singing bowl technique, around 30 practical techniques, applied protocols, working with and around the body, individual sessions, group sound experiences and sound baths, meditation and breath integration, facilitation, teaching foundations and professional integration. Students also choose a Yin Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga pathway.
Who is this training designed for?
It welcomes complete beginners, yoga teachers, meditation facilitators, wellness professionals and people drawn to sound for their own practice. No previous sound-healing qualification is required.
Do I need previous experience with singing bowls?
No. The training begins with the foundations and develops progressively through hands-on practice. Bowls and equipment are provided.
How long is the training?
Duration depends on your pathway. Sound Healing with Ashtanga Yoga runs 11 days and 10 nights. Sound Healing with Yin Yoga runs 12 days and 11 nights.
Is this training divided into Sound Healing levels?
No. Oceanic uses an integrated residential approach rather than a collection of small levels — foundations lead into singing bowl technique, applied protocols, individual and group work, facilitation and teaching.
What is the difference between the Yin Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga pathways?
The Sound Healing foundation is identical on both. The Yin pathway complements it with slower, longer-held postures, fascia and functional understanding, and sequencing, over 12 days and 11 nights. The Ashtanga pathway complements it with structured, physically engaged practice built around breath and rhythm, over 11 days and 10 nights.
Which pathway should I choose?
Choose Yin if you’re drawn to stillness, slower practice and learning to guide Yin alongside sound. Choose Ashtanga if you want a stronger, more dynamic physical practice. Your choice changes the yoga emphasis, duration and investment — not the central Sound Healing education.
Why does pricing differ between the two pathways?
The Yin pathway runs one day longer than the Ashtanga pathway, so its residential package costs more per room type. The Sound Healing curriculum itself is identical on both.
Can I guide Yin Yoga or Ashtanga after the training?
The pathway develops practical skills in sequencing and teaching alongside Sound Healing. Confidence and depth continue to grow through ongoing personal practice and teaching experience.
What will I learn in Sound Healing?
Practical work with Himalayan singing bowls — playing method, listening, resonance, instrument placement, session structure, sound meditation, complementary sound tools, and the principles needed to begin facilitating responsibly.
Will I learn how to create a sound bath?
Yes. The training develops the practical skills behind group sound experiences, including instrument use, pacing, listening, session structure and facilitation.
Is this the same as clinical music therapy?
No. This is a yoga and wellness-based Sound Healing Teacher Training rather than a clinical music-therapy qualification. It expands the way yoga teachers, meditation facilitators and wellness professionals use sound within the appropriate scope of their existing work.
How can Sound Healing support wellbeing?
Sound-based practices are commonly experienced as calming and meditative, and research is increasingly exploring their potential to support relaxation, perceived stress and mood. Oceanic presents this with respect, recognising individual experiences vary and that Sound Healing complements rather than replaces medical or therapeutic care.
Do I need to own singing bowls before joining?
No. Bowls and the learning equipment used during the training are provided for practice at Oceanic Yoga.
Will I be trained to lead Sound Healing sessions?
Yes. A central outcome is moving from receiving sound to working with the instruments yourself and beginning to facilitate individual and group sessions with structure and confidence.
Can I integrate Sound Healing into yoga or meditation classes I already teach?
Yes. Existing teachers can learn ways to bring sound into suitable yoga, meditation, retreat or wellness settings while remaining within their professional scope.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Oceanic Yoga provides certification on successful completion, reflecting your chosen pathway.
Where is the training held?
At Oceanic Yoga in Morjim, North Goa, in a residential setting close to Morjim Beach.
How much does the Sound Healing and Yin Yoga pathway cost?
For published 2026–2027 cohorts: triple sharing €847, twin sharing €1,047, private room €1,297 per person, for the 12-day, 11-night programme.

Are vegan meals available?
