Why 200 Hours?
Enough time to build
a complete foundation.
A 200-hour training brings the different parts of yoga into relationship: asana, breath, meditation, philosophy, anatomy and the practical art of teaching. It is broad enough to prepare you to begin teaching, yet immersive enough to become something personal.
And where you immerse yourself matters. A beautiful setting, experienced teachers, a residential community and a school shaped by years of yoga, meditation, mysticism and inner exploration create conditions for deeper study — and for whatever else may begin to unfold.

FAQ
Before you decide
What is a 200-hour yoga teacher training?
A 200-hour yoga teacher training is a foundational programme combining personal practice with the essential knowledge and practical skills used in teaching yoga. Oceanic’s residential course brings Hatha, Ashtanga, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, philosophy, teaching methodology and supervised practice together.
Who is this 200-hour Multi Style YTT for?
It is for aspiring teachers, dedicated practitioners and people drawn to a period of focused practice and self-discovery. Beginners and intermediate practitioners are welcome when they are ready for an immersive residential experience.
Can I join if I do not want to teach professionally?
Yes. Some students come primarily to deepen their own practice, understand yoga beyond asana, reset from everyday routines or explore a new direction. Teaching methodology remains part of the programme, but becoming a professional teacher does not have to be your immediate goal.
How long is the training?
The residential programme runs for 23 days and includes 22 nights of accommodation in Morjim, North Goa.
Can beginners join?
Yes. The programme is designed for beginners and intermediate practitioners. You do not need an advanced physical practice; consistency, curiosity and willingness to participate matter more.
Do I need teaching experience?
No. Previous teaching experience is not required. Teaching skills are developed progressively through methodology, observation, communication, corrections, class structure and practical teaching.
Do I need to be very flexible?
No. Flexibility is not a qualification for becoming a yoga teacher. Observation, communication, responsible practice and the ability to work with different bodies are more important.
What should I arrange before travelling to Goa?
International students should organise the correct Indian visa, travel insurance and flights, and share arrival details if airport-transfer assistance is required.
What is included in the curriculum?
Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, pranayama, bandhas, Shat Kriyas, mantra, meditation, Yoga Nidra, philosophy, anatomy and physiology, Ayurveda, teaching methodology and practical teaching are included. Naturopathy is offered when weather conditions are suitable.
What is taught in Ashtanga Yoga?
The training covers the Primary Series with breath, bandhas, drishti, alignment, corrections and modifications so students understand the method progressively.
What meditation practices are included?
Oceanic draws from different contemplative and mystical lineages, including Osho, Buddhist and Gurdjieff-inspired practices, cyclic meditation, Yoga Nidra, mantra and breath-based meditation. The selection can vary with the group.
Is naturopathy part of every batch?
Naturopathy practices depend on weather suitability. They should therefore be understood as a conditional experiential element rather than a guaranteed daily component.
Will I practise teaching during the course?
Yes. Students work with observation, guided instruction, communication, class structure, corrections and feedback, gradually translating their own practice into the experience of guiding others.
What teaching skills are covered?
Teaching methodology includes communication, correction and guidance techniques, class environment, basic class structure, beginner-course structure, sequencing principles and professional ethics.
Will I learn alignment and modifications?
Yes. Alignment, adjustments, corrections and modifications are part of the programme, with attention to individual differences rather than expecting every body to practise identically.
Can I begin teaching after completing the course?
The programme provides a foundational teacher-training qualification. Continued personal practice and teaching experience remain important, and any local registration or insurance requirements depend on where you intend to teach.
Is Goa suitable for solo female travellers coming for YTT?
Goa is an established international travel destination and many women visit independently. Normal travel precautions remain important. Oceanic’s residential format keeps accommodation, meals and training centred on campus.
Can I arrive alone and arrange an airport transfer?
Yes. Oceanic can assist with transfers from Goa Dabolim Airport or North Goa–Mopa Airport. The currently published charge is USD 30.
Are vegan meals available?
Yes. Vegan meals are available on request. Residential students receive three vegetarian meals on training days; Sundays are holidays and breakfast only is served.
What facilities are available on campus?
Residential students have access to the practice spaces, swimming pool, Wi-Fi and washing-machine facilities, with accommodation and meals within the campus environment.
How much does the residential 200-hour YTT cost?
For the published October 2026 to May 2027 cohorts, triple sharing is €1,197, twin sharing is €1,597 and a private room is €2,197.
Is there a non-residential option?
Yes. The course-only option is €999 and includes no accommodation and no food.
How much is the booking amount?
After acceptance, a €400 non-refundable but transferable booking amount confirms the place and is adjusted against the total course fee.
When is the balance due?
The current policy states that the remaining balance is payable on or before arrival at the Goa campus. Transaction or card charges may apply.
What are the arrival and departure times?
Check-in is between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on the arrival date, with reasonable flexibility for flight timings. Check-out is after breakfast and before 10:00 AM on departure day; certification takes place the previous evening.
